Pros

I've really enjoyed my time working at Advia Credit Union so far and most of the issues I've had have been minor issues that I have been able to communicate and resolve

Cons

The issues that are difficult to overcome are that Advia Credit Union is spread across a few state lines, which means your coworkers might be upwards of a 10-hour drive away from you depending on what side of Lake Michigan they're on. This makes team building exercises difficult, especially for small teams.

Pros

I have worked in multiple departments here and every manager has been fantastic

Cons

The company cares more about “warm bodies in seats” over a job being done well. They don’t care if the job is getting done well they just want someone who will follow all of their policies and sit in a chair 8-5 M-F

Thank you for your feedback. We agree that we have great people and managers who care about their team! We offer flexibility through hybrid work for eligible roles, but we do not offer asynchronous working at this time. If you have specific concerns, we would value the opportunity to discuss them with you. If you are willing to have a conversation, please reach out to the Organizational Development or Human Resources Department.

Pros

The people here were amazing and always rooted for my growth. Bank Holiday's, banker hours allowed me to work a second job. Very flexible with my school schedule and never hesitated to give time off for a funeral.

Cons

Being a teller is not easy, 99% of members are great, the 1% ruins the experience. You learn on the fly, I can't say it didn't work but be ready for that first week on the line. This is a sales job which is not for me but that part was not emphasize in my interview. Personally, moving up came from moving out.
