Pros

My Manager sincerely wants me to be successful. When I had a project go wrong, he jumped in to help me. We also have an awesome back office who answers the phone whenever a customer calls. This allows me to focus on one customer at time because it can get crazy with inbound calls sometimes.

Cons

There is a lot of changes to our systems right now. The system we had been using for a long time was taking a long time to load, so we're changing and its been confusing and harder, but as the weeks go by, they releaase new updates, I think it will get better.

Pros

I have been able to get several of my customer approved for an insurance claim after being denied in the fall through a process called appraisal. I had a draw balance before January that made it hard to think I would see commssions soon, but I will get a monthly bonus because of my points from February.

Cons

There are a lot of changes happening right now. Some people are upset, and not taking it well.

We appreciate your dedication and are glad to hear about your recent success helping homeowners through the appraisal process. Providing our team with the expertise to navigate complex claims is a key part of how we deliver meaningful service to our customers and ensure our sales professionals can see the direct impact of their hard work. It is encouraging to hear that the shift in our compensation structure is already benefiting you. Our move toward a performance-driven model—combining base pay with monthly, quarterly, and annual bonuses—is designed to provide a more transparent and consistent path to high earning potential, rewarding those who consistently deliver results in the field. You hit on an important point regarding the current changes within our organization. We are intentionally evolving into a more performance-based culture centered on accountability and results. While we recognize that this shift is not the right fit for everyone, it allows us to focus our resources on the right people who are committed to our shared future and long-term growth. We are proud to support a team of driven individuals who value transparency and are looking to build a career in a high-energy, supportive, and award-winning culture.

At Advocate Construction, we maintain an open hand policy and recognize that our performance-driven culture is not the right fit for everyone. We believe in transparency and alignment, and we want every team member to be fully committed to our shared goals and values. Employment at Advocate is at-will, meaning any employee is free to resign at any time if they feel their professional goals no longer align with our direction. we encourage anyone who is unhappy or who does not agree with our operational shifts to pursue an environment that better suits their needs rather than remaining in a role where they feel dissatisfied. Regarding your comments on compensation, we have intentionally evolved from a traditional commission structure to a base salary plus a robust system of monthly, quarterly, and annual performance bonuses. This shift ensures that our high-performers are rewarded for their results and individual contributions. While this change led some to move on, it has strengthened our position as a multi-year Top Workplace award recipient. We are far from going out of business; in fact, we continue to grow by prioritizing accountability and merit-based opportunity. We remain committed to supporting our team through initiatives like the Advocate Cares Program and providing tools like our Company Truck Program to those who are performing at a high level. If you are still with the company and feel this way, we invite you to have an honest conversation with leadership or exercise your right to find a different opportunity.
