Pros

Cheap benefits, perks like earning rewards and geared. toward better health , good time off , nice co workers . Time off is nice, 12 hours per month.

Cons

Low pay, over worked, too much paperwork and old equipment. Supervisors give you past due caseloads and expect you to fix them and if you don't you get in trouble. They try o sell you on a 4% bonus but they don't tell you that there are MANY stipulations to earn it. So when you think your going to get your bonus they tell you you didn't do what you need to and participate in extra activities to get it. The pay is horrible compared to other mco's.

Pros

You create your own promotions by searching for lateral jobs within the company. You get to listen to quarter meetings on how the company is doing so that you can be mislead into thinking you will get a bonus and pay raise that match the company's pay-for-performance guidelines. You get to create your own work performance reviews which no one reads but your manager..( sincerely... many department is capped on the amount of money for raises and bonuses and the number of 3 and 4s they can give out). You can leave this job at any time and pick up a higher paying job doing similar work almost immediately.. The company thinks it is ok not to give you a pay raise because you are in the 75th percentile for your job function. You will be judged on a 5 point rating system in which a 5 is NEVER given out ( not exaggerating..management says that in order to get a 5 you have to accept a promotion??).

Cons

Terrible health insurance (not even taking into consideration (I WORKED FOR A HEALTH INSURANCE COMPANY), pay raises are capped to a max of 5%, so is the number of 4s per team (talk about a morale booster when you have always been a 4 to be told you are getting a 3 and management cannot do anything about it). No continued training to expand upon skills, no time to do any of the tedious training because of the workload. Senior management does not care about you unless you do not perform (the lack of recognition makes me feel great because no mention of my name means that I did great), they get the huge bonuses and recognition..I get to keep a job..

Pros

Certain departments have flexible work schedules. The Wellness reimbursement as well as tuition reimbursement was generous. The relaxed work attire was somewhat nice - when employees didn’t abuse it.

Cons

The employer brand image and perception of culture that is marketed and sold to candidates is not the experience delivered. There are serious issues with harassment and workplace bullying. Poor leadership and management reflects highly on the floor. Absent leadership has allowed atrocious behavior. Management chooses to ignore the behavior- ignored behavior is confined behavior. If you take your concerns to HR, the leadership will subtly retaliate against you. Aetna’s Code of Conduct is a one way contract - you abide by it, they don’t.
