Pros

Food & Fruit in the office

Cons

- Unqualified interviewers. There is no interview training and this means interviewers assess people with no guidance on how to do this ethically or accurately. - Unqualified Managers. People are recruited into roles leading a team but are given no training and have little to no experience. - Lack of diversity (lack of gender, ethnic and LGBTQ+ diversity) and no focus/care on improving this. - Demotivating and low energy culture. Not a lot of employees have joined over recent years and stayed for over 2 years (average employee tenure is less than 2 years). - Airwallex will pay you less than you are worth and will try to underpay you. - APAC and EMEA are essentially two completely different businesses. No knowledge sharing or working as a team. - Barely any employee benefits (other than standard holidays, laptop for work, etc).

Avoid this company at all costs.

Pros

They pay you money. There are a few people that are actually decent.

Cons

I would avoid working for this company at all costs. They prefer to hire outsiders instead of promoting internally. The people who are promoted internally, are playing a very political game and working 7 days per week. While you will never be asked to work overtime, if you don't, you won't get anywhere and will be considered lazy. It's highly implied that you should work overtime/on weekends. I've heard management laugh about how they don't pay people well because "No one asks for raises". However, from everyone that has asked for raise, they get pushed back 6 months, and another 6 months.

Pros

- Company is growing - There are a handful of smart, hard working colleagues

Cons

- Shocking culture that doesn't look like changing - Turnover is REALLY high. Lots of people come and go before hitting probation - Exec team is absolutely spineless. No one stands up to the CEO who is the root cause of the cultural concerns. The leadership team and people who have a say are almost all men - Benefits are non existent - No one owns mistakes or endeavours to improve It's really sad as the business has potential but I fear Airwallex's culture is too far gone - which was also highlighted when the Head of HR left after 2 months. Avoid, it is as simple as that.
