Pros

On paper, SurveyGizmo sounds like a great place to work. If you get an offer letter, you’ll think you have it made with all the little perks and what not, including: - Good location (right in the middle of Boulder with walking trails, restaurants, breweries, shops, etc. nearby) - There are some really great people there (emphasis on “some”) - Pays well and benefits are pretty good - Dog-friendly office - Stocked kitchen and beer fridge - Bicycle rentals - Free massages - Discounts on tickets to various locals events and attractions - Free parking - Flexible hours - Casual dress code (however, this can be a negative with people walking around without shoes or quite literally in baggy sweatpants). But don’t get too excited about that stuff just yet...

Cons

There are so many cons that outweigh the pros. I’ve listed many of them below, but I highly suggest going farther back in the reviews and not only reading past negative ones but also reading the former CEO’s condescending and rude responses that seem to make a mockery out of the concerns raised in the posts -- I wish I had. They give a pretty good sense of how management feels about employees. - They got a new interim CEO that completely changed the marketing strategy immediately and laid off the entire department (except the manager) due to the previous strategy “not performing.” As mentioned previously, that department included someone who was moved out to Colorado for the job and then laid off two months after moving. - The executive team has a very “my way or the highway” attitude, although they act like they want ideas from the organization; and they are often extremely unprofessional (including one executive using the r-word in a meeting to describe a client with whom this exec was on the phone mere moments before). - They hire people with experience in their role and then don’t listen to their expertise whatsoever. - There is a massive lack of opportunities to grow and advance your career in any way. - There is blatant favoritism from management, but no one seems to care about that. The “boys club” comment in the previous review is beyond accurate. If you even remotely rock the boat or question a decision, you’re kicked out of the inner circle. - Management can say they “care about their employees” all they want, but they wouldn’t blatantly disregard employees’ thoughts and concerns if that was the case. - Many people are not respectful at all, and they only care about being friendly when they need something from you. But people outside of your department often do not care about or have any respect for your time or priorities. - The company hosts all-company “huddles” every other Thursday, and employees can anonymously ask questions to the executive team via a survey beforehand that are answered during the meeting. On a disturbing amount of occasions, people’s questions are just ignored or the answers beat around the bush because the executives clearly can’t be legitimately transparent with their employees. - There is a LOT of micromanagement. You’re basically just going through the motions everyday without putting any critical thought as to WHY you’re doing something or how it could be made better.

Pros

The only pro is that they provided great equipment for work, laptops, monitors, whatever you needed for your working area. That being said, they didn't like you working anywhere other than your desk even though they created areas with couches. They really created a false sense of flexibility of working environment.

Cons

All of the leadership is negative and only looking out for themselves. They will tell bold lies by telling you what they think you want to hear and then never following through. I can't get these years back and I pity anyone that is fooled by them and is stuck working in this toxic culture. If possible I would rate them below 1 star.
