Pros
Learned a ton in the eye specialty. All of the Docs, Surgeons and anesthesiologists were phenomenal at their work, very kind, welcoming and great at educating if you showed interest. CRNA staff were amazing, kind, welcoming and more than willing to teach. Union rep was great and doing their best to try to make good change (follow guidelines). A handful of the nurses were amazing. Nursing assistants were phenomenal and hard working.
Cons
Many of the nurses were unwelcoming and unkind. Poor at educating new staff (seemingly purposeful at times) Poor attitudes, gossiping and bully behaviors to new, or current (unliked) staff. Many great nurses came and left within weeks to months due to the poor behaviors and treatment by fellow nurses. They are union but only followed some or certain rules (very few) for benefit of mgmt or favored staff persons. Truly a sad representation of Allina and MNA.
