Pros

- Excellent pay levels when you join the team - Really good benefits and an affordable price - Working with some of the best talent in Charlotte - Collaborative eCommerce culture

Cons

- Don't expect a raise. Raises are far and few between and bonuses only happen if you fight for them. - Benefits costs continue to rise each year, but that's pretty standard. - Really great people being pushed to the breaking point. If you like having a work life balance, this is not for you. - The culture is only surface deep. The majority of the company really doesn't understand what it means to be a digital organization.

This place is degrading

Pros

Ample parking. Spacious lobby. Starbucks onsite.

Cons

This place is degrading rapidly. The number of employees who have no idea how to do their job or what best practices are is frightening. The standards are incredibly low. I have worked here for years and have seen this place degrade. Ally makes it very difficult to do a good job. It is embarrassing to work here. I have never worked at a company that is so disorganized. We have employees who love to play dress up as if that brings value to their role. The same employees have no clue as to what they're doing. Resources are minimal and non existent. Search for anything on Pulse and the first results are outdated documents for the 2010s; ancient stuff that is no longer relevant. HR is huge yet for anything you are forced to reach out to an offsite call center staffed by call center contractors, not Ally employees, that eventually respond. Facilities barely cleans the bathrooms. IT is a mess and setup your computer to crawl if you turn down their advances. Getting into the building is always a hit or miss; from broken parking lot gates, to non functioning badge readers, to the occasional broken elevators. We must not have enough money since the HVAC is set to swampish. There minimal ventilation in the bathrooms; the stench is atrocious!

Pros

- Great family atmosphere among non management employees - Committed to Work/Life balance - great benefits

Cons

- Directors and management have made it clear that employee happiness and comfortability is not a top priority - Severe lack of company and specific role knowledge and experience from upper management, leading to sub standard decision making. - Lack of real leadership from management
