Pros

Many hardworking employees in corporate and in the field.

Cons

Would not recommend this company to anyone. They foster such a negative culture and terrible work environment which has resulted in a revolving door of employees for years. The bottom line for stockholders all that matters and management does what it takes to make that happen, including treating their employees with little respect and consideration. Middle management undermines anyone who stands in their way. It’s unfortunate, because Amedisys has many good employees who will never get the recognition they deserve.

I can't think of any except HCHB. This site wants 20 words here. I cannot honestly come up with anything else good about this company

Cons

Micromanaging worse than any company I have ever worked for. Salary below average. Very dishonest management up to the AVP level. I left a great job based on lies. I will never grace the doors of Amedisys again. Their loss!

New equipment (tablet only) Showing all their "cons" upfront so we can make Fast career decisions and move on to better opportunities.

Cons

Recent buyout by this company. Currently making no changes to benefit the employees. No plans to change work day productivity to better work-life balance. 50% decrease in vacation time. Company does not recognize 32hr employees as full time and therefore not benefited. (Terrible benefits anyway) No work phone supplied- have to use personal. Amedisys recognizes productivity as 5 patients per day (for RN) however old company productivity is 6-7 per day. Amedisys to make no changes to this. Nurses are overworked, borderline forced overtime. Guilted in to taking extra patients. No on-call service. Nurses have on-call requirement where they cover territory of 50+ towns 1-2x month. Poor weekend coverage.
