Pros

You will get work experience and training - although this is at a cost of high caseloads and ignoring ethics. There are always jobs available because staff leave so regularly due to disgust for the company. I was there some time ago but things have not changed. They burn through all levels of staff including managers.

Cons

Case loads were consistently high and bordered against state regulations meaning clients did not get much direct contact. They claim to be dual diagnosis but the psychiatric care is minimal meaning clients were placed there who were not getting adequate medication or checks. Kept clients there that were a risk to themselves and others instead of referring to appropriate care. They also did not screen for medical needs so many patients who needed inpatient hospitalization were kept there at great risk without the proper medication or care.

Pros

A lot of the therapists and other employees care about the clients

Cons

- Corporate only care about making money and diminishes the quality of care as result - Drugs were constantly in the facility, staff was aware of this and our hands were tied because corporate did not allow us to make the necessary changes to prevent more drugs form entering our facility

Pros

Few careers will ever give you an opportunity to help change someones life for the better. While every phone call has its challenges, the goal is the same, HELP PEOPLE. Communication from management is clean and timely. I've never felt as if I was being left out in the cold. My supervisor is very understanding of the pressure I'm in on each call, and she does everything she can to make sure I have all available resources to do my job. Every person who's in support of your position goes above and beyond. The Admin team is a God send. The company values family, and respects that you have a home life. My wife is 7 months pregnant, and I've never had any issues getting time off to attend appointments, a fact for which I am eternally grateful. You cannot put a price on that. Period. The compensation program for my position is excellent, and its structure rewards people who are DILIGENT in following up with people. There are performance metrics which every TC must adhere to, and it's unrealistic.

Cons

All of the training the company gives you really cannot prepare you for your first phone calls. Some callers will be angry because they're hurting and just need help. Some will be angry because they have our commercial confused with another companies. However, treating these callers with kindness never backfires, and once they know you generally want to see them get help, the tensions soon fade. Regardless, your Manager and Team Lead make acclimating to the routines very comfortable, and it never feels like you're being thrown to the wolves.
