Pros

There is (was) flexibility with work schedule for senior flight attendants. The travel benefits are the biggest draw to the career. Seeing the world is possible.

Cons

Compensation is bad! Especially for the new hire flight attendants. New contract imposed on the flight attendants is only making work rules worse, flying more hours, loss of flexibility. Hourly pay went up but was taken away with work rules and loss of profit sharing. Very bad employee morale at the moment!

Pros

Travel Easy job if you are in HQ Great work/life balance. They can't afford laptops so you really don't bring work home with you.

Cons

Not very professional managers. Very low skill level with zero leadership training. Middle management doesn't do much to develop employees. Managers are simply Sr Analysts with bigger cubes. Most nepotistic place I've worked. If you have a good degree or MBA, go somewhere to really learn about business.

Pros

Benefits and the fact they fly to most places

Cons

Everything else. Terrible management Terrible operating system Terrible Union Terrible CEO Terrible company structure. Everyone here is for themselves, you can’t even trust your own co-workers or crew members, and this isn’t a secret. Management doesn’t care, they’re not there to help or create a positive moral, they’re there to get promoted and get away from their problems at home, and bring them to work. The former CEO Doug Parker is a joke, and the new one is his buddy, so there’s that. Every decision made is for the worst and penny pinching. As flight attendants on the front line dealing with it, and with the feed back from customers, it’s quite the embarrassment. We’re not taken care of, we’re robots and just a number in the system to them. Do yourself a favor keep your sanity. Apply for something else.
