Pros

Salary is average, benefits are pretty good, would have sense of self-satisfaction if management would get out of the way but...

Cons

Advancement is high schoolish, butt kissing is required, social conscience is fairly shallow, and knifes in the back are on the high side.

Pros

Mission to find Cure for a horrible disease. Some truly dedicated people who are trying to change the organization.

Cons

Incompetent management does not support or appreciate contributions of front line managers. Secret investigations are common and unfounded. Policy is always more important than people. Organization is less than factual/ truthful about many things including statistics of the disease, employees are expected to march to the company line no mater how far-fetched. For a health organization the worst benefits package I've ever seen. Top leadership is from another non-profit, fired or forced the resignation of many other national leaders to bring in his cronies from former organization.
