-Incompetent CEOs for 3 years. Actually hire a nonprofit CEO who knows how to run a nonprofit. -I thought a board was for governance and keeping an organization financially sound. Big missed steps here. It’s easy to point a finger at the staff but remember you have hired the leadership that has got you to this point. Something to ponder perhaps? - Why do you continue to hire board members as your CEO vs. hiring a person that is qualified to do the job? -Do retail executives actually understand how to run a successful nonprofit? Big question to ask yourself early. -I think the 15% of people that would recommend a friend to work there says it all. Also you might want to check out the Charity Navigator scores. -Perhaps investing in your field force is a good idea? The 20% loss in revenue in 3 years is a good sign that your depletion of the field and other changes are probably not working.

EVERYTHING. This is a sinking ship, and that is an understatement. I don't know how they will be surviving much longer. No money, no leadership, no resources, no direction, no respect. No employee happiness. Not much volunteer, partner, donor, or costumer happiness either. No one should ever use the word "leadership" to describe anyone who has upper positions here, only micromanagement, dictatorship, belittling and negativity; the opposite of anything a leader should be. The opposite of motivation. No direction. Telling employees to do something and then punishing and questioning why they would do that and blaming missed goals on them. Very unprofessional. Very toxic. Very damaging to mental and emotional states and confidence. DO NOT WORK HERE.
