Pros

Dress down. Free coffee. Good people with the exception of management

Cons

Everything! Management selects their few favorites. They harass their employees and when you report it They find ways to make it worse or fire you. They expect happy clients and brokers when you're given 300+ clients and close to 400 if you do COBRA. Clients end up angry and you're the one that catches all the heat. They blame employees for everything even things they have absolutely no control over. They love to belittle people. It is by far the worse company I have ever in my life worked for and can't wait to get out of here!

Thank you for taking the time to share your concerns. Feedback from our employees – both positive and negative – is taken very seriously, and I want you to know that your comments have been heard. One of our five core values is “We excel through perpetual learning and improvement.” We’re constantly evaluating the way we operate, and if something isn’t working the way it should, we take a step back and challenge ourselves to make it better. Last year, we implemented a formalized training program for all new and current employees, as well as a new learning management system to deliver ongoing product, leadership, and service training opportunities. We introduced these resources based on direct feedback from our employees and are continuing to build out new and even better training opportunities. We have also revamped our hiring process and introduced a new skills and personality assessment that all candidates, including candidates for leadership positions, are required to complete prior to being hired. We are already seeing positive results from these assessments—including reduced turnover and higher employee engagement—as they help ensure we are closely matching candidates with the right jobs. As we begin to see the impact of these efforts, we are appreciative of the input and support we receive from our team members, which is ultimately what drives change at Ameriflex. Thank you, once again, for your candid feedback.

Pros

My pay deposits showed up on time.

Cons

Can you see yourself: Answering >90% of incoming phone calls in <3 rings? (On a team of 6 where two people are actively answering calls with a never-ending volume, two are in Aux, probably working a “project”, and two untrained offshore employees who know nothing about the product or how to properly respond to client needs) Responding to >80% of any voicemails in <59 minutes? (While the phone is still ringing and emails are getting close to expiring SLAs and one of your teammates who isn’t on the phone is asking the people who are contributing to the incoming requests where they are and what they’re doing) Responding to >80% of emails in <4 hours? (Your “manager” [supervisor] can’t support or provide resources for processes to meet a need for a unique situation after you have escalated a request, proceeds to bump it back to you advising that you should notate the “chain of command” has been followed before it reached them. Striving to receive ≥ 90% excellent reviews from all clients serviced? (From clients who feel slighted because they have not received resolution within the provided SLA which should be adjusted due to the volume that is not being appropriately measured and addressed.) Leading the pack by having a ≥ 95% client renewal average each year? (The team doesn’t handle renewals or implementation but the team that does will drop the ball because they’re also overloaded with work because a good majority of them went elsewhere for work. They also handle implementation which creates a domino effect and a state of constant limbo all at once.) Consistently improving your customer service skills through leadership provided coaching/mentorship? (About that…there is no leadership. Only a trickle-down of dictation. People who do not know the product but rubbed the right elbows within to get access to promotions, perks, and or entitled lack or responsibility for the people who are in the position being offered.) Sound appealing? If so, be ready to bend to the will of higher ups, question nothing, take ownership and repent for things out of your control. Dare you have a paper trail to confirm the owners for a ball dropped is not your mess to clean? Don’t forget. You are ONE TEAM, so their alleged slap on the wrist magically your performance improvement plan. Years of experience? Great! Let everyone depend on you for the answers and take care of it while their “internet is down” because they’re tired. Don’t worry about them. They’ll be promoted soon! Go team!

Pros

Safe, fun environment, Great employee activities, Free Doctors Visits

Cons

Ameriflex will not promote from within!! When I walked in the door they sold me on "room for advancement". I sat in participant services for over a year. When I was ready to go to the next level my immediate Manager hesitated in signing my internal application, he also stayed still in allowing me to Shadow the next department. The job as a CXS is a "placeholder" or resume' builder. I'm not understanding why the company does not see that. Why not promote from within using someone who knows the products and or services,, rather than use someone who "just needs a job with 3 years of experience"...Blah...blah..blah..

Thank you for your sincere thoughts and suggestions as well as your time with Ameriflex. Our employees are our number one asset and we want to make sure each and every one is given the tools and training they need to be successful. A couple of the ways we do this are through our internal training program as well as our tuition reimbursement program. Many of our current managers have taken advantage of these programs to move up within the company. Some of our internal training programs are in their early stages and are still being developed, but we are able to use information like this to expand and develop them further. If you have any other questions, comments or suggestions please feel free to reach out to reach out to us by phone or email; we would love to hear more about how we can improve the work experience for our valued employees.
