Don't waste your time and energy

Pros

The pay is higher than other agencies. Sometimes there's bonuses.

Cons

Inconvenient training times. Benefits aren't that great - including sick time and vacation time. Staffing issues resulting in extremely long shifts worked (more than 16 hours straight). Children's services employees seem to be favored over adult services. Mentally, physically, and emotionally draining.

Pros

The school seems like a nice place to work. The direct care staff is wonderful.

Cons

The mid level administrators who do not work in the homes are bullies and have unrealistic expectations. By that I mean, they make decisions as though they are playing with game pieces and not lives. They are embarrassingly out of touch and believe they are more educated and aware than they are. The favoritism is unreal. One of the worst working experiences ever and I have NEVER written a poor review of a work environment in 30 years of working.

Expanding to fast!

Pros

Great salary and you always bonus at least twice a year

Cons

Huge turn over rate! Company is expanding way to fast and are not capable of keeping up with it. Don't give the houses enough staff to meet the needs of the participants which leads to many issues.
