Work/life balance is a value that we take seriously and one that’s discussed often among leadership because of its importance. Every employee should feel the freedom to discuss workload and job expectations with their manager and agree on a healthy balance in this area. I'm sorry to hear you did not have a good experience in this area, but if there are more specifics on how you feel we could improve, please reach out to me at rfergu@ascendmaterials.com so we can share with the appropriate leaders. Thank you for taking time to submit your review. -Tony Ferguson, communications team

Ascend fully complies with all federal and local laws. We do not discriminate against employees on the basis of their own illness or the illness of their family members, and, as a result, would not ever terminate someone’s employment on these bases. We do terminate employment if there are repeated safety violations or performance issues, and only after we have exhausted all available corrective actions. We are truly sorry for your wife’s diagnosis and wish her a quick recovery.

Pros

Work with some great people. Outside of the internal scholarship portion, Ascend Cares is really cool.

Cons

Constantly increases work load, but does not compensate for the additional time or sacrifices made to achieve this. Very poor bonus structure (assume you won't get it if you are comparing offers). Horrible cost of living adjustments (assume it to be half of inflation).
