Pros

The connections you make at work and keep outside of the job!!!

Cons

Worked here for 6 years! It really started off great. We had great incentives, great training, and themed events. Then the company wanted us to push “Appy”. An app that did nothing for customers. We were forced to push this down our customers throats even coaxed to lie in order to get them to download it. I believe that Appy was the companies way of gauging our ‘selling’ ability. None of my co-workers signed up for sales. As soon as they stopped Appy they started with sales. It was a lie from the beginning. They told us we would only sell on resolved calls… LIE!! We were forced to push sales down our customers throat whether they had recently lost someone or they just needed to be transferred. Didn’t matter we had to inconvenience them to get the sell. Everyday your job is on the line. No such thing as seniority. Once I found out that they had raised the pay to $19 but we were all stuck at $19.59 after 6 years, I left!!! Best thing I’ve ever done. I’m still seeing my therapist to heal from the trauma that job caused!!!

Pros

-Pay was decent, benefits were from day 1, and they had vto/pto if you need time off. Also had the option to make more money.

Cons

-You are fed lots of hope with this job in training. It seems very manageable starting out, but as it progresses the job gets stressful. And for a person like myself who came from a pressured sales environment, this one is completely unreasonable when it comes to sales goals. You are judged heavily on sales, and customer management. - Your calls are scored through a computer system instead of live listeners, which can cause your metrics to tank if not doing every step in a timely manner. - As far as scheduling, there is hardly any flexibility unless you are a high performer. With that, they have a way to get you into a Pay Per Experience Role that gives you promises of a desired schedule, but your pay is based on calls. This means your metrics are higher and more difficult to hit, which means it can definitely affect your money to the point where you paychecks aren’t enough. Towards the end of my employment, the ppx desired schedule perk was taken away, and everyone was put on a shift bid. And vto is heavily saturated so it‘a hard to get.
