Pros
The facilities are beautiful, the residents are lovely (if they are appropriate for assisted living, many are not) positive onboarding/training experience
Cons
Many of the residents are really nursing home residents in disguise needing much more help than can be provided, no support from administration or regional, once they are done training, chronic staffing issues-no one lasted for more than a few days, low pay/salary, you are expected to work long hours, demanding and unrealistic families, extremely emotional and physically exhausting, no quality of life, attitude is one of which you are replaceable with no appreciation of your worth as a professional. My job was supposed to be primarily administrative, yet I was asked to clean, serve food, give showers and change diapers. No-one tells you this during the onboarding process. I could not sleep at night knowing that my residents were not safe with only 2-3 people for a community of over 100 residents. There were Medication errors galore, what do you expect with staff who are uneducated, one day training and only $12 an hour?! I am still experiencing post traumatic stress from having worked there, I even had anxiety attacks. Never again will I allow myself to be used in this manner, I kept telling myself that all of my sacrifice was for my residents. In the end, no-one cares that I made the sacrifice except for my concerned family who spent less time with me as a result and saw what the job was doing to me. Don't work for this company- run away as fast as you can!
