HORRIBLE UNETHICAL WORKPLACE

Pros

There are zero “pros” to working at Atwell.

Cons

Your safety because of contract issues is not guaranteed and is vocalized. Office environment is horrible with conversations loudly being had that shouldn’t be. Hostile work environment. No support. Directors will set up meeting to meet with you then change them, then fire you without the meeting ever happening. People are abrasive and defensive. If you care about your mental state you would never work at this place where they don’t care and you are but a number. In the letting you go meeting you weren’t allowed to ask questions and try to figure out why. Relieve you of your job duties the day before a holiday aka Thanksgiving.

Pros

Peers were outstanding Benefits were decent

Cons

Management was incompetent and either micromanaged employees or ignored them, there was no happy medium. Licensed engineers were encouraged to stamp things they weren't comfortable with

Stress for the sake of stress

Pros

Wellness incentives Competitive pay (on paper, until you realize your actual job responsibilities)

Cons

-Poor support of employees from upper management -Perpetual focus on billing, phrasing in billing, and what's "reasonable" to bill to a project based on gross time underestimations in the proposals -Always hungry and always disappointed leadership style flourishes here. No matter how much profit there is, you will hear that it was not sufficient. -The "entrepeneurial culture" means management will not work with you to problem-solve issues like staffing from high turnover -Rigid rules around things of minimal importance, like following insane expense report procedures to a T, while there is little to no guidance on how to actually perform your role

Thanks for your feedback. We will work on some of the areas you have addressed. We are growing very fast and adding headcount at a fast pace as well. We understand the stress this can put on various positions in the company, and we are working hard to control this and offer assistance. We have pushed hiring this year organically to help support the internal staff; hopefully, this will address this as well.
