Pros

The benefits are fair. Profit sharing when it's available is good as are yr end bonus.

Cons

AO has become much like it's competitors in the corporate department. Everything is measured. and when it's busy, just keep pushing through. No rest and keep up with your task despite having and big increase in workload.

No 40 hour weeks

Pros

Supervisors and co workers are great and want to see you succeed.

Cons

Benefits overall are average to below average based on other carriers I've worked for. Workload is enormous....never seen a 40 hour week. 50-60 hours is the norm to keep head above water. I'd say pay is average to slightly above average but when you figure out your hourly rate based on excessive workload, it doesn't pencil out.

Pros

Benefit package offers flexibility, including pension, 401k, student loan repayment and yearly bonuses. Technically, there are opportunities for associates to advance, but plenty of obstacles in the way.

Cons

Claims is tragically understaffed, the work load is abusive, great people are leaving at an alarming rate. Salaried position, expected to put in long hours without fair compensation. Employees continually ask for work balance improvements, management seems frozen in a distant time and they are mostly unresponsive.
