Poor Management, High Turnover, Low Pay

Pros

Good health insurance, overall friendly coworkers

Cons

Talented, hardworking employees are undervalued, underutilized, and unappreciated. Senior leadership, especially the lab manager, is very inexperienced. They deal with problems by immediately blaming the employees without giving it a second thought. Their method of employee motivation is pitting employees against one other and making empty promises. Stay away from this place, it will only drain your energy and waste your time. There are other labs that offer better opportunities and higher pay.

Pros

Very good benefits . Molecular experience.

Cons

Horrible lab management that is manipulative and untrustworthy. They do not value their employees. I have never seen so many sudden terminations as I have in this company. I was scared for my job! If you want to get anywhere in this lab, have zero leadership capabilities and be the lab management snitch. Pay is not good. High turnover that is nearing 100% in a year and a half. Not much room for advancement. You do the same thing everyday. It gets boring.

Pros

There are some unique NGS opportunities. There were some great people that worked here, including my direct supervisor.

Cons

Laboratory management lacks experience and professionalism. It’s a small lab with little opportunity to learn new things or advance. Turnover is a problem. All of those people that I mentioned in the pros are mostly gone and for the same reasons. Works closely with another company that owes millions of dollars in insurance fraud and some even on behalf of this company. The future of this company seems very uncertain. The pay is below average.
