Pros

Benefits, vacation time, sick/personal time.

Cons

In just the past few months the company is taking on way to much, expecting the employees to meet the managements ridiculous standards and workload. Mandatory every Saturday for the last few months, employees required to stay late during the week. If you have/want a family, Avery in Fairport is not the place to go. Meanwhile, of course the upper management requiring all of this nonsense gets all of their extra time off to have a life with their families and friends.

Pros

Good Pay and benefits. Most management is competent.easy to move around in to diversify your talents. great diversity in work force

Cons

They use and abuse their employees. After 29 years and 8 months they decided that they no longer need my services. i rarely called in sick was never late. They seem to target older employees for termination in order to bring in younger lower paid people. There is no loyalty to the employees anymore. Stan Avery would roll over in his grave if he knew that. He was all about keeping you until you retired.

Pros

The only reason you want to work here is for the money. Avery truly tries to compensate you for all the personal abuse they put you through. However, if continuous disagreement with the leadership team and a President, who is simply nuts, don't scare you, and if physically and mentally you can make it through strategies going in full circles, and a continuous deterorating financial outlook, then hang in there! You will be paid a nice sum eventually to leave, no questions asked ....

Cons

A bi-polar President, who leads a "yes, Sir!" Team, uses the "f" word more than 10 times in a leadership team meeting and disregards employee input and expertise. A deteriorating market position. A desert of innovation paired with chaotic execution of strategy. A culture that is only marked by "fear".
