Pros

I could not think of anything. It was a pretty bad job.

Cons

The company culture is very corporate. Dress code was strict but has become more lenient. They are pretty strict about jeans for some reason, its not like clients or bank customers come in, no reason it should be this strict. 40 a hours a week too much for this role and for any role there. You will be left with an unbearable amount of free time. I was unable to find enough to do to keep me busy, yet management expects you to work a full 40 hours a week. The Vegas office has less management and they just use it for lower level jobs. Promotions are rare and don't really mean much. Don't worry though, managers in San Diego like to have people monitor you and make sure you sit there all day doing monotonous work. The strict PTO and sick leave are the worst I've experienced from an employer. If you get sick, like with COVID, but you haven't worked the few months it takes to get sick days you will have to use your accrued PTO. You only get 2 weeks of PTO you have to use for things like doctor's appointments. Do not work at Axos if you would like to work from home. It's ironic how a company so focused on being online has a strict policy against WFH. They only give it to the select few for medical reasons. If you are unlucky enough to get a spot next to the customer service reps I hope you have noise cancelling headphones. Coffee machine is only decent and since the coffee shop in the building is gone that leaves you stuck with the machine that always runs out of packets. The breakroom was pretty boring because nobody talks to each other. They leave out snacks that would barely pass for a kindergarten class. Things like crackers and pretzels.

High Turnover - Toxic

Pros

Decent salary and bonus, nice break rooms with great coffee.

Cons

Awful, toxic environment - watch your back, inconsistent directions, lots of lies, and during interviews, execs brag about their high turnover. They fire competent people to cover up the lies.

We appreciate the feedback and agree that our compensation package (base salary plus performance-related bonus) is attractive. At the same time, we're saddened to see your description of behaviors that do not align with our culture and values. At Axos, character is one of our core values. Character is built on five pillars: trustworthiness (defined by integrity, reliability, honesty and loyalty), respect, responsibility, fairness and caring. Clearly, the experiences you describe fall well short of our standards, and for that we're sorry.
