A horrible place to work or have research done...

Pros

there are no pros to this place

Cons

Obviously the good review above has been written by one of the owners of the company. As a former employee who left this company of my own free will, I can say that this is a horrible place to work or have any research be submitted to as a customer for so called “high quality data”. BTS is a very unprofessional environment that breaks the rules to gain profit, also they treat their staff and subjects with the lowest regard.

Thank you for the post ex-employee! The month this post was placed was the same month we moved into our new facility. It was tough on our new entry-level staff to go through the move even though our operations team made every effort to assure that no studies were affected by the move. Regrettably, some of the employees didn't see the fact that BTS moving to a new facility was one of the key milestones to deliver BTS to meet the growth into a mid size with higher capacity and more advanced processes.

Pros

BTS offers a lot of experience, and gives a lot of opportunity to learn. It's a small company but it allows you learn about the different jobs that are being ran, and understand both aspects of the company. BTS allows you to become well rounded, and taught how to become a multi-tasker and become good at it, and to get close with all of your co-workers and develops healthy relationships.

Cons

The most challenging part is the hours, and not being felt as appreciated, working with a small company it's easy to feel like what you do is not enough and you're not getting recognized for all the things you do. Words can only go so far, but actions speak so much louder. Being short staffed is another issue, but I think every place runs into that problem.

Pros

The employees support each other very well and make a nice team. Company has a variety of experiments that they conduct.

Cons

Management does not support employees with tools needed to conduct experiments properly. Experiment subjects available are used way past their prime Therefore, not the place I recommend to have studies conducted. Average employee stays less than one year. Employee usually happy to leave company. This is why there is almost always a job open. Safety hazard company! Management shows no signs of change. Ect., Ect. Don't Do It!

Dear Technician, thank you for the “pro” and recognizing BTS talent and skills, we take great pride in our work and in the quality of our work. As a growing company, we have many open positions, and if you are in the in vivo technical group, you will find many growth opportunities as we are seeking experienced staff in all levels. As I have replied to the tools and equipment’s already, I will add that we have established our internal system for keeping the tools service in place, with our new internal inventory store, the technician can check out the tools needed and once they check it back in, they can notify the Inventory Control about any issues with the tools, at which point, they are forwarded or dispositioned as needed. As a CRO, this type of industry is not for every scientist, working in a CRO requires a great passion for team work, accuracy and accountability and a scientific mentality driven by a desire for sound results.
