Pros

Tuition reimbursement Opportunities for career growth BCBAs and Regional directors who genuinely care about their staff Options for when clients cancel (retention time) Large support network Knowledge BCBAS

Cons

Really long days. Sometimes you leave your house at 7:30 a.m. and you don't get home until 6:30 p.m. only to have six hours that you can bill for all that time. Also the office in Leominster is poorly stocked at best. There are little to no materials available and it has been like that for at least a year.

Pros

- Getting to know your clients and their families - Seeing daily and monthly progress with students - Learning the basics of ABA and overlapping with staff

Cons

- Fee for service position, with hours determined by supervisor - Originally told that free time is personal time, but new incentive is working most workers to burn out territory - Balancing life/work; Sometimes making more money is a good thing, but making more money is inconsistent -Wages per hour are inconsistent based on role (ABT or BT) and admin time -BT wages are high, but can only bill for 6 hours per week per client - Cancellations are on you, whether client or you cancel. They say it's not your fault, but push for makeups regularly until you have no time to breath - Only 30 minute breaks for commute and drive time - No PTO, only sick time (which they discourage)

Pros

-The team communicates very effectively. -Very supportive team culture. Your supervisor will support you in a professional manner (e.g., behavior management, data collection, cultural competency, subtle cues, uncomfortable situations, technical questions, etc) -Structured session. You will know exactly what you will do when you enter session including DTT and incidental teaching (also add your creativity) -Benefit package including insurances (health, dental, life, short-term disability, etc), 401k, and others are generous compared to other ABA companies -Flexible Friday schedule; you can makeup hours that were missed during that month due to sickness, vacation, or appointments - Flexible overall schedule: you can take time off at anytime

Cons

-Frequent cancellation which is part of the job -Traveling from one home to another is time and energy consuming even though the company reimburses you for your mileage. Even when I work 7-9 hours per day, I will be out on the road, coffee shop, or in my car for 10+ hours per day. Usually I get out of my house at 7:30PM and get home around 7:30PM -Less training opportunities - training is only every 3 month which is more geared towards administrative updates
