Systemic Problems From The Top Down

Pros

Any company you work for has a group of employees that are truly wonderful people and would do anything to support you and help you achieve success. In some respects, Belimed isn't far off. There is a small group of people that are truly dedicated.

Cons

The problem is that this group of people is getting smaller and smaller by the day. The good ones are leaving as if they are escaping the plague (enormous turnover). The plague can be isolated to the Executive Leadership Team who have created systemic problems within the organization. The leadership team is ill-equipped to lead. They have over-promised. They have mislead and outright lied to employees. They have done nothing to improve the work culture and inspire innovation among the team. My criticism of them is not because they are bad people, they are just in way over their heads. They have resorted to a fight-or-flight mentality to save their own careers to the detriment of everyone else who supports them. Switzerland would be best served to fly over to the states and clean house. Over the past 6 months, the culture has deteriorated to a point where no one is happy, no one is excited, and no one is inspired. The only way to right this ship is with some serious outside intervention.

Thank you for the very candid input. We certainly are concerned to hear this as Belimed wants every employee to feel confident in their leaders and their employer and would have the ability to thrive in a long-term employment relationship. Our leadership team, and specifically those whose title you call out, have a long track record of successful roles. The efforts of this team to make Belimed even more successful than it is now have been and will continue in the spirit of teamwork. That being said, there is always room for improvement and we will work to identify gaps and rectify those situations. Very sincerely, Joe

Run away.

Pros

Good people, but they won't last.

Cons

Turnover is horrid, mostly because the leadership doesn't do anything to improve working conditions. Most of the middle management are looking for new jobs, so things are going to implode. CFO is driving the team members away within 6 months of taking post. CEO makes promises and doesn't deliver. Safety is a huge concern, but it's not profitable, so it's overlooked. People get fired on the regular, but some other less qualified person just takes over and will be fired in 6 months. Sales people are leaving because they can't make money. HR team has turned over 3x in 2 years. If that's not telling you something...

Your thoughts and comments are appreciated; we know there is truth in everything said, though the truth is always in the middle. We keep a close eye on turn over and the metrics show we are retaining the best talent with an average tenure of over 4 years. No company is perfect and though you may not know it, we are actively working to identify, analyze, and address issues which will make Belimed a recognized best place to work. Kind regards, Joe.

Pros

This is the best and most rewarding job that I have held since getting out of the military over 10 years ago. It is a medium size company that has a family owned business feel to it. Everyone that I have met while working here is happy to go out of the way to help out a fellow coworker. Decent benefits and competitive salaries. I plan on retiring with Belimed.

Cons

Sometimes the work schedule is hectic and the workload can be very heavy at times. The biggest struggle is trying not to work overtime while at the same time taking care of customers in a timely manner.
