I quit because I made one mistake on a bad day and the manager took me off to the side privately after work to lecture me.. I apologized to her and she just kept taunting me for 20 minutes. Asking me why I made the mistake over and over again and how I don’t care about the restaurant. After a while I got really frustrated and started crying and quit because I’m not going to let anyone talk to me like that. Know your self worth and don’t work here. I feel like something happened to her in her RL & she took it out on me, very unprofessional. - you have to lift a lot of soups and salad until your back hurts. - the chefs and appetizers always take a while to get to the hibachi table & the customers are always getting mad at you! - at least one or two tables won’t tip you throughout the day and you have to tip out 16% on their check! - you have to make the soups and salads for your table and most of the times there is no soup bowls or salad bowls! & they have to get to the tables before the chef! & you have 15 minutes to get the drinks and order in. It is very stressful! Sometimes there is no utensils and your table gets really mad at you and then you go rush the dishwasher to wash them & he gives you attitude. Then there is no cups to get the drinks for your table! But you have 15 minutes to get their drinks and put the order in as soon as they sit down. It’s very stressful to work here I recommend that you find another place to work!

The environment is extremely stressful because employees are overworked and underpaid. Benefits are almost non-existent and expensive. Although the company states that corporate business hours are 9:30 - 5:30 which is 7 hour workday, you are expected to stay and work until your work is done. There’s no REAL time off since the upper management expects you to respond to emails while you’re out on vacation. There truly is no work life balance. No respect for your personal time. There’s really not many tenured employees as everyone is trying to leave the organization. Departments are understaffed because employees are resigning all the time. Another BIG concern is that the HR department is a complete joke because it is run by someone who has no true HR background, enjoys firing employees and is known to gossip around the office and share highly confidential information (including email, letters of resignation,conversations etc..) with other departments outside of HR. Additionally, this leader was only promoted because of her personal relationship with members in the Executive Team which is a conflict of interest. The direction from the current Executive Team is that it’s ok to sneak and take pictures or videos of employees without their consent and to spy on your co-workers to get them in trouble, which of course affects the morale.
