Pros

Great technical experience as well as being challenged to build leadership skills through practice. Best Buy used to care about its employees and customers by having classes and seminars for employees to learn to be better, but through the change in CEOs and failure to hold management responsible for their actions and inaction this company has tumbled down the mountain faster than people could race down a mountain for cheese.

Cons

Management acts as though they are saving the planet. Meanwhile management steals from the company both in product and in time clock stealing. Management is disrespectful and only concerned with hiring attractive females and making fun of ones they consider ugly. Male managers who would go into female leadership meetings and make sexist comments. Company does not care about employee experience anymore.

Pros

Seeing people light up when you help them is fulfilling. The Consultation Agents and Advanced Repair Agents are all very pleasant. Everyone is understanding when they have to help other Agents out with work they are pulled away from.

Cons

Management can be very toxic or make very shortsighted decisions. There are more Clients to help than staff to help them. There is never a good time to take a lunch, and you can easily go over a week without getting one. Corporate lines often set incorrect expectations for repair completion times and what we can and cannot do over the counter. When you call out, there is nobody to come in to fill your shift. You are constantly being pulled away from other tasks to help Clients, oftentimes not getting back to what you were initially doing for over an hour.

Pros

You get a ton of PTO to start with like 180 hours or something like that. Don’t have to get it approved by your manager you literally just put it in on a day where there’s still time off available and you’re good to go. The discount was cool too at Christmas time. Also the gift cards we got sometimes randomly and Christmas gift.

Cons

Literally everything else working there was terrible. The co workers seemed cool (this was remote work btw) but all customers did was scream at us all day long and we just had to deal with it. It was busy non stop and you would get in trouble for not finishing a contact within the literal 30 seconds you get to put one in. It got so bad I was literally suicidal from working this job and got put on anti depressants. I quit that b hole and found a way better job and now I don’t have to be on meds anymore.
