Pros

Blueprint has recently gone through a rebrand form a consulting company to a technology company, and it has been interesting to witness the changes over the years as the company has grown. Any company that experiences the rapid growth as Blueprint has will experience challenges, but they have been far outweighed by the positives. The culture is based on entrepreneurship and it still tries to hold true to that principle even now. There is great camaraderie among teams and across departments even in the face of a fast paced and highly demanding environment. Something I always appreciated about this company is the benefits. Having been a contractor for 5 years with various companies before coming to Blueprint benefits were minimal at best, but generally non-existent. PTO as a consultant was unheard of, and having that at Blueprint was such a blessing. Having access to snacks and beverages at no cost is wonderful, whether i choose to induldge or not. Blueprint encourages personal development through tuition reimbursement. Many opportunities to be involved throughout the company, should you choose to engage. Leadership team is not just made up of executives, based on a pitch process it incorporates different perspectives and employee levels across the company. The team changes every year.

Cons

Work life balance can be very challenging if you don't set personal boundaries. This is not necessarily a con for myself, but I have seen others who experience this: If you struggle with ambiguity and need a structured Point A to Point B career path, Blueprint might not be for you. It still holds to its entrepreneurial roots and is an environment where high performers typically create their path rather than get promoted or pulled up. As with most companies in the country, Paid Maternity/Paternity leave is minimal, but again obviously doesn't apply to everyone.

Pros

Free food, great salary, excellent medical benefits. I was utilizing all of these to help along my transition. These are the only good things about working at this company.

Cons

Terrible work life balance. Very sudden and mandatory overtime. The company doesn’t seem to care about the personal lives of their employees. Awful social politics. The company has progressive policies but doesn’t seem to follow through with them. The free food is sometimes old, re-used, or flat out moldy. A completely unforgiving attendance policy and a management team that discourages usage of earned time off. The company, again, seems to not care about the personal lives of their employees. Irresponsible management.

Pros

free food (that has made people sick), very strong insurance benefits and pay, casual atmosphere, team lead and most management are usually always available on the floor, if you get a job at Headquarters - I'm sure you will find great joy and success

Cons

Higher up management (not all of them, but enough of it to be a problem) interprets negative criticism towards company and functions to asking employee if maybe they're the problem, and said employee need to be more adaptable and try harder to accommodate the companies ill behavior. So here some of us are instead, on glassdoor. Obvious bias treatment with every person, cliques and best friends w/higher ups will protect and carry each other to higher positions. They don't really hide it. Employees push work onto others and take credit(mostly seen in upper mgt), this behavior is reported - said management person faces no consequences but a personal talking to. Employees(seen in upper mgt) throw each other under the bus for x,y,z failed projects and performance regularly Forced abrupt changes - you can wake up the next morning and your position is completely different without warning, complaining just means you're not a "quick to adapt" employee. aka they will withhold decisions and release it at the very last second with no warning. Bare minimum attempts to let the company leadership/mgt truly receive feedback and connect with employees. (ex: holding conferences to give feedback to leadership and then no call no showing said conference .. no follow up on it..)
