Pros

Really exciting opportunity to influence change in small commercial. Outpacing competitors and developing innovative products. The people are what make the difference - creative thinkers, collaborative teams, encouraging partners, and strong leaders. We get things done fast, together. Opportunities for professional growth and development are plentiful. From building teams and solving unique software problems, to directly impacting small business owners. It's up to us to push ourselves to deliver.

Cons

Navigating ambiguity. The company makes decisions quickly to respond to a highly competitive tech market, which means we don't always have all the answers. Fortunately, we have a team that values transparency and collaboration. We look out for each other. It helps us stay focused on the goal.

Room for Improvement

Pros

- Most of the people are smart, accommodating & kind. - Work-life balance is very relaxed if that’s something you’re into. Many people don’t roll in until after 9 and are out before 5. - It’s a good product that does solve a need in the insurance world.

Cons

- Toxic, dishonest & demeaning culture from the top down. Tons of gaslighting & back-channeling to shut key people out of decisions. - Leadership is afraid of confrontation, so will say one thing to your face & another behind your back. People don’t get substantial feedback when they ask for it, but then are blindsided with criticism during performance reviews. - People are encouraged to voice their opinions, then punished for it. This results in a lot of smart people turning into “yes people” for fear of losing their jobs. Many people are afraid to post reviews for fear that leadership will trace it back to them.
