Pros

Diversity of clients. Ability to get into client companies who are needing help in your skill set area. Medium-term nature of most engagements. Independence. Friendly, open management who are in touch which what is happening in the business community; who are the up an comers; who may need help as the downsize.

Cons

Work not always steady; business development team not always able to plan about what will happen after the current assignment ends. This can can cause professional stress. Business model works best if you consider it a professional affiliation and develop your own client relationships to bring in your own work.

Pros

- Amazing and talented team to work with. - Comprehensive benefits. - Lively company events geared to acknowledging the camaraderie between teams and departments. - Easy-going work environment. Everyone you work with is pleasant, likeable, and generally pretty fulfilled in their current job title. - Unchallenging, unstimulating work environment.

Cons

Corporate hierarchical communication is lacking, with managerial oversight being poor or almost non-existent, especially within the technical departments. Management has little interest in ensuring the individual success of employees, inhibiting motivation for personal career growth/development. This inadvertently subjects employees to a 'do-it-yourself' working style, instilling a sense that you are your own island rather than a collaborative, productive team. This issue is due to Bridgepoint's sole purpose of remaining a competitor in Texas's financial tech industry; billable hours and making money for the company is really all you're wanted for. Any deviation from that principle - regardless of context - is met with blatant hostility. Incentive is also nonexistent at this firm. You are given a false promise of deserved compensation for your work, but it's simply not true; your overtime and extra hours are not compensated accordingly. Likewise, upward mobility is not much of an option at Bridgepoint.
