Pros

My co workers were awesome and we learned a lot together through all the challenges and roadblocks we had.

Cons

Never ending barriers to being successful. We had no leadership the majority of the time and for most of the team this was the first post-grad job (where leadership is necessary for obvious reasons). Dealt with a lot of barriers and rules with no direction on how to navigate them. Extremely unrealistic expectations. We were given metrics to hit that came out of absolutely no where and were not based off of previous performance-no one came close to hitting the goals. Severely underpaid-doesn’t even come close to comparing to most lateral moves. Even as a high performer, there was very little opportunity for growth and it was a slow movement. Absolutely no transparency. False promises on promotions, leadership, and opportunities. I was at the point where recruiting another person to work at BrightEdge felt morally unethical due to the lack of “success” past hires were having. Would 100% never recommend any friend to any role with this company. Complete waste of time.

Pros

- Pay is good - People are genuinely great - You'll learn a lot about using salesforce

Cons

- Micromanagement to the extent that managers review emails before you send them - Go ahead and read the above again.... - Platform is overpriced and the leadership refuses to acknowledge the vastly lower cost options swallowing up market share left and right. - Regularly understaffed SDR team. The hiring process is mismanaged every year, and between firings and people outright leaving, this group is often a skeleton crew every spring - which means fewer and fewer opportunities for AE's. - If you have 2 bad months you're put on notice. 2 months....talk about a hell of a culture. - No work/life balance

Pros

Lots of smart people & hard workers. Folks were always there late night, trying to make their numbers on the sales side. Support side was reviewed to be one of the best in the industry.

Cons

The CEO doesn't know how to treat people that work for him and lowers morale. I'd see him walk down the hall past everyone as if they didn't exist (other than the top sales guys), then turn "on" his fake smile as he walked into the board room to meet with clients/investors. Everyone non ex-salesforce/non-sales was never worthy of his respect.
