Rampant Favoritism

Pros

Minimal structure so you are exposed to different parts of the business that you would normally not get to see. Best advice is to read the reviews for the last year.

Cons

Who you know or are related to will decide your fate here. It’s a toxic work environment with no work life balance with no organization led by incompetent managers. Very high stress because they micromanage but do not have experience which creates more setbacks. Poor compensation for the Charlotte area. A lot of talk about making things better but no action.

Business Channel Senior Leaders are a Windstream Posse

Pros

Overall great business model for residential customers and bringing fiber to under served areas in the 20 states footprint. The C level leadership is strong and committed to the company's growth and employee's success. Excellent pay!

Cons

Enterprise & Wholesale (Business Side) do not have the right senior leadership to help execute and grow the business side of Brightspeed. It has turned into a Windstream posse trying to do the same initiatives or items that Windstream did. No idea or concept that is not born from the minds of a Windstream manager is even given a second thought. Not sure the Windstream model is what Brightspeed Business should be striving for. No opportunity for growth unless you are part of the Windstream Posse.

Pros

Remote work. Above Market salary

Cons

This place is a start up but they have no vision from top down on what they are trying to achieve. The mentality is get things done by any means necessary like cutting corners, lying about numbers, performance, etc. My boss at one point told me to lie to vendors because leadership promised certain delivery dates but didn’t have all the requisite pieces in place to make that an actuality. I was consistently reached out to outside of working hours people sending messages at 11PM at night expecting responses. My advice is look elsewhere, they are enticing with the salaries but the business practices are unprofessional and unethical.
