Most cashier positions are strictly part-time. It can be a little difficult to make sure you got scheduled for the right number of hours you were supposed to be. Regular pay raises were not easy to come by (many people hadn't been given a raise in multiple years). Particular co-workers sometimes had attitude or teamwork problems. There's too few opportunities to move around and away from the register for a moment to stretch and keep your circulation going.

The company is poorly run and they expect far too much out of their minimally paid associates. They throw a lot of irrelevant tasks on the employees and then complain when their actual jobs don't get done.
