Pros

The people you work with, they are great. Fellow employees are like family. It's nice to be part of a team of people who band together.

Cons

Upper management does not seem to care if good people leave or even worse, they are told to leave. Communication between stores and corporate is terrible.

Pros

This used to be a good place to work, It still is at store level for college students, but if you want a career, seek something else.

Cons

If you are good at your job, you get dumped on and are forced to take on a much larger workload without any compensation or understanding from supervisors, while the underperformers are continually allowed to get away with being lazy and not doing their own jobs. If you complain about this and ask for equality, you are labeled and more pressure is put on you.

It's not that bad if you aren't making a career out of it

Pros

Store level management is really good. Nearly all the department managers I have had really try to work with people on giving them the best schedule possible. Almost all of the people that work there are really good hard working people. There are a few bad apples but that is to be expected with a retail job, even high end retail.

Cons

There is a serious disconnect between the corporate and store level. Those upstairs in Ann Arbor and Saline, the two corporate offices, have no real concept of what it takes to properly run a store. The programs are not fully vetted before being put into position. Store level then gets blamed for the inevitable failure. I'm hopeful that the new CEO and new VP will be able to connect the two worlds better.
