Pros

The company offers a large amount of time off for employees per year and very affordable benefit options for employees. Many options for moving throughout the company. Quarterly raises up to 50 cents per hour based on performance. They do not focus heavily on cal statistics and allow for a very free form type of phone calls with customers.

Cons

Carvana has large issues with communication which directly impacts customer service roles. Many delivery hubs are unable to be reached or never respond to emails/submitted tickets for support They constantly struggle to deliver on promises to customers resolutions. They will look for any reason to avoid compensation to customers, most times providing extremely low offers with no options for adjustment/negotiation from customers or even employees regardless of if it is Carvana’s fault. Over priced vehicles Lack of leadership support on basic customer questions often times exceeding 2 hour wait times for assistance in question chat rooms for agents. Constant failure to meet state regulations related to registration of new vehicle purchases.

Pretty Great Place to Work

Pros

Overall the job is great. The pay is decent, the benefits are incredible, and my location has a pretty wonderful team. I love the people I work with and for the most part enjoy my work days. If you get your stuff done you are more than welcome to leave early. The work is pretty simple there’s just a lot of things you have to pay attention too. Attention to detail is a huge must!

Cons

The schedule can sometimes be annoying. We know what days we are scheduled to work weeks in advance but sometimes the night before you get switched and have to come in 2-3 hours earlier than you were expecting. I think pay should be higher than what it is or at least have regular raises for time being there and good performance. If you like doing things yourself so the job is done right this is not the job for you. There are 100 things that could go wrong with each car/delivery and your the person who gets face to face with the customer and gets the brunt of all their anger when none of it was ever your fault in the first place.

Downward spiral

Pros

100% employer-paid medical premiums That’s it.

Cons

Carvana Review They woo you with culture videos, amazing perks, and free snacks which will inevitablydraw you in. It’s a facade to attract talent, once you’re settled in you start to notice their unspoken, very conditioned culture. The culture is conditioned beyond measure, led by managers that worked their way up in a few years right after college. This creating an environment that is fake, forced, and unwelcoming if you don’t fit in. This all stems from their very “young” company. The managers are young, inexperienced in management, and lack basic leadership skills. Most employees feel pressured to place Carvana above all else in their lives, fall in line with their manager’s orders and force cordiality with their peers so they can advance. Bottom line: The whole company feels like a prototype being presented by college students who are too proud to ask anyone with actual experience for help. Lastly, friendship is a currency; use it to get noticed and to be promoted with Carvana.
