Pros

Nice office, food, gym, massage chair. Mostly cool coworkers.

Cons

The company Tenets are posted everywhere and sound really nice but are apparently just for show and in truth they risk employees jobs. For example, one of them is: Be Honest, Direct & Real. However, actually doing this will get you fired. Why preach this if you don’t mean it? The owner is a sadistic sociopath. He fires people when he’s bored, just to prove that he’s got all the power, even if it’s to the company’s detriment. The whole company seems like a vehicle to help him feel like a big man. The way he treats employees and conducts himself proves that he doesn’t actually care about the company. Which is a real shame, this is a really cool company that could flourish if competent senior management were in place. Working hard and helping the company succeed gets you nowhere at CBT Nuggets. The only way to succeed here is by being a favorite. And even that is not a guarantee, you can fall out favor for no reason. I honestly regret coming here. If you are a hard worker who wants to contribute and feel appreciated, this is not the place for you. Unless you are willing to kiss up constantly and risk not having a job in 6 months, do your soul and career a huge favor by passing on this company.

Pros

Excellent benefits & pay, beautiful building. Thats about it.

Cons

Company is absolutely horrible to work for. You're much better off focusing your time on another prospect. All the reviews are 100% spot on. Very sad and disappointing. Wish I'd never answered their call. When you're in a situation where things are too good to be true, thats because they usually are.

Pros

Good Pay Great Benefits Fun coworkers Fun office including coffee and catered lunch

Cons

No loyalty. Employees are treated as expendable idiots despite the fact that they have to manage the managers and are the ones actually keeping the company alive. The good employees are let go, or more often, leave because of the terrible culture. I would not suggest leaving another job, turning down another job, or relocating for a position here because chances are you will not be here long. In order to succeed here, you have to be a brown nosing yes man, people who actually give their ideas and thoughts to management will be fired. The owner is obnoxious to the point of being an embarrassment and a liability. He spends his days pulling inappropriate practical jokes and downright harassing employees. If you are a woman, in addition to the disgusting harassment you can count on your contributions being completely dismissed. The benefits offered are not truly for the employee but to make the company a "Best Employer" (necessary to stay alive when people are leaving in droves). Unfortunately these awesome benefits and a truly cool company are overshadowed by the fear based culture, an owner who does not seem to care about the company at all, and the ridiculously anxiety everyone shows up to work with everyday wondering if this is the day they will be let go
