Pros

There are some definite pros here: good pay and benefits, beautiful office with a nice view, catered lunch and free (good) coffee.

Cons

The owner fails to understand that even when you’re trying to create a fun, non-stuffy culture, you still need to have some basic respect for your employees. This guy is beyond inappropriate. Here’s just a sampling of some of the things you can count on from him: Trash talking and revealing personal information about former and current employees. Yelling at and criticizing employees loudly and in front of others. Disgusting practical jokes on employees involving feces. Harassing women and embarrassing them in front of others by calling them names and making perverted jokes. Making ridiculous business decisions that have terrible outcomes and then punishing employees for it. Working here is a humiliating experience. I wouldn’t refer anyone to CBT Nuggets.

Pros

Decent pay for Eugene. Lots of free lunches and dinners. Nice big TV. Exercise encouraged. Lots of different kinds of chairs to choose from.

Cons

The owner is an illogical, impulsive, immature, emotionally unstable MICROMANAGER who enjoys change. Change (often for the worse) is the only thing you CAN count on. Dan giveth and Dan taketh away. Before you consider jumping into "crazy town" ask about the longevity of employees. The good ones leave or get fired and the drug abusers and absentee employees get chance after chance to redeem themselves. There is no loyalty or integrity in upper management. If I could have posted the true rating it would have been -5 stars. I wish I had never worked at CBT.

Pros

Great benefits. I would only consider working there if you are a developer and to work with current technology on AWS platform. Get your year or two of experience and move on. Catered lunches and stocked fridge. Their product sells due to the quality trainers and employees who support them.

Cons

Opinions are welcome as long as they comply. Employees don't feel their is anyone they can trust in a senior management position. Mid level managers are fearful to relay any concerns without repercussions. When I was there it was a very fear based culture. Turnover was unbelievably high!
