Pros

They sure are good at not communicating!

Cons

Very unprofessional management staff. Never went over new hire paperwork. Never explained what the job required or what the hours would be. Took over a property and it took 3 wks to inform the community. Signed HR paperwork and amazed that the management team doesn’t obey their own rules.

Fantastic company, mediocre pay

Pros

CCMC really cares about building a "community" feeling for their neighborhoods. It's easy to move between positions in the company (provided you wait the appropriate number of months between changes). It really does "feel like home," to use one of their slogans.

Cons

Despite the ability to move up and move between positions, your career and pay trajectory stops short of industry standards. Managerial positions earn around $50K. Pay hasn't kept up with the times. There is a yearly bonus structure in place, but for entry-level positions, it comes out to under $100/year, and for managers, around $200/year. It breaks my heart, but it's hard to support yourself and your family working for CCMC. Hours for most positions go beyond the 8-5. Managers will be working 60-70 hrs. many weeks. Entry level staff aren't allowed overtime, so they are asked to flex hours during the week to make up for meetings and events that happen outside of normal business hours.
