      Pros

      A group of people working on small business grants that share the same management and support staff, admin, accounts and contracts. Lots of charitable work.

      Cons

      Very high overhead and very top heavy where a small number of people are working hard to support the rest who really does nothing. No experienced engineers/managers. Technology, equipment, mentality, and polices are very outdated. Lots of talk of change and improvements but always no action. Its also a family business.

      Thank you for the review, we take pride in the development and transitioning the technologies we create through SBIRs – but know the limits they provide in terms of growth. We have worked to put the infrastructure in place to expand our research and development offerings – requiring the infrastructure we have put in place. We are working hard to provide the resources our staff needs to successfully support their passions and our customer’s mission – we are disappointed we could not support your endeavors and hope that we are continuing to improve so that the next group of scientist and engineers don’t feel that way. Unfortunately, you probably left shortly before we announced that we are now majority owned by our ESOP. We are excited about that milestone and look forward to continuing the process of transitioning ownership to the next generation of leaders. We do appreciate your insight and hope you check back as we continue to the transition to (and execution of) a growth posture!

      Thank you for the review! We are working hard to develop and promote the right mix of staff to help manage the growing workload (also hiring a lot of staff)! I'm proud to say we have very little involuntary turnover (AKA Lay offs) over the last few years. We work hard to keep our staff employed, primarily in technical work that interests them and when required, with options for something that bridges the gap between those passion projects. I have to disagree with the talent, I think we have some of the best and brightest - but I do know we can always improve, and one bad experience can ruin a customer (or employee's) perception of us. I wish we left a better impression but know we are always looking to improve our employees internally and by hiring the best! We also take pride in our accommodating employee's work life balance, from using PPL & flexing time to donating leave to those in need. We are disappointed you did not have that experience and will be diligent in getting informal feedback from staff to make sure that others are not feeling that way! Good luck with your future endeavors!

      A fantastic place to learn and grow your career

      Pros

      The diversity of research going on here is phenomenal. There is an extraordinary amount of freedom to go after scientific work that you are interested in. Personnel are valued at every level and no one is considered more valuable than another in this company, which is very refreshing. Management is fantastic.

      Cons

      There is slight lack of guidance pertaining to the everyday tasks during the orientation period that could be improved
