Pros

Doing something that was helping make a better world for my children. Food, candy, and drinks everywhere.

Cons

It's a sweat shop. Anyone that cost "too much" gets laid off. Management thinks it can get a bunch of new inexperienced people to do the job at half the price.

Constant Layoffs, unethical HR practices and a failing model

Cons

I agree with other posters, RUN AWAY! There are quarterly layoffs, and you never know when you are next. HR is so concerned with saving money, they will take away vacation without notice, switch you from salary to hourly without notification and create archaic policies for employees that change often and, you guessed it, without notice. Employees are coerced into working long hours, expected to be in immediate contact all hours of the day and are never provided feedback by management. If you can even get in front of your manager.

We appreciate you sharing how changes that were made to our benefits affected you. The new policies rolled out at the end of 2015 have ultimately been received favorably by the majority of our staff because of how flexible they are.

Still a train wreck.

Pros

Worked with some great people, including program managers and director. The energy efficiency industry is growing and will continue to do so. Helping people save on their energy bills was very gratifying work.

Cons

This company embodies all that is wrong with corporate America. Top-down management, arbitrary and poorly communicated policy changes directly affecting employees, an incompetent HR department that basically functions (if you can call it functioning) as a servant to senior management and couldn't care less about the employees it supposedly serves, a stifling employee policy manual that again serves strictly to cover top management's rear end, concern for profits before people (people including employees and customers/clients), secrecy regarding pay and benefit policies (taking away accrued vacation with no forewarning- really?), unwillingness or inability to address genuine employee concerns. I could go on and on. The HR group in particular deserves to be called out as a total joke, and the joke is on CLEAResult employees. I was part of a company that imploded a while ago, and it wasn't fun. This time I feel fortunate to be on the outside looking in. I just feel badly for friends that are still there caught up in that mess. My advice is to get out while you can.

This person's experience working at CLEAResult is obviously not something we're proud of or endorse. Feedback like this helps both human resources staff and company leaders know what still needs improving. I encourage current employees who may feel similarly to utilize the HR Service Center and executive open door policy. We are ready to listen and we do care.
