Pros

- Competitive salary and good increments - better than market standards. - Great work-life balance with meaningful and impactful work. - No night shifts in the Security Engineering team - healthy and sustainable schedule. - Supportive leadership and positive culture - driven by a grounded CEO and leaders who truly connect with employees, listen, support, and help bring out their best while steering the company toward sustainable growth. - Seamless handling of the Aeries transition - initial doubts around benefits and policy changes were addressed thoughtfully; the company delivered the best possible outcomes for employees. * (Fun note: This was a con in my last review! Great to see how positively it was turned around.) - Security Engineering team has seen remarkable improvement under Jitendra’s leadership as Manager: * Gaps in process definition were addressed post his entry. * He’s building a fair, structured, and productive environment that has truly strengthened the SEC-ENG team. - Supportive and approachable HR team - quick to respond, transparent, and always ready to help. - Clear opportunities to learn and grow as the company expands.

Cons

None. For the scale and what’s already offered, asking for more would be greedy. It’s a genuinely happy place to work.

Micro Management in SecEng

Pros

I appreciate the USA work culture of critical start . Other Teammates are supportive. Everyone is doing best acting on desk to show how busy they are, even if they don’t have work for 6+ months.

Cons

Since manager joined the security engineering department he had spoiled work culture. Do micro management. Created toxic work culture. There is higher attritions rate because of bad Indian work culture. Manager is worst in technical knowledge, don’t expect career growth here. HR team is not having process, there is no induction for new employees.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We're glad to hear you appreciate the supportive team environment and cultural strengths at Critical Start. We’re sorry to hear about your concerns regarding micromanagement and onboarding. However, we have implemented a structured Induction program for all new hires who have joined us since November 2024 including our most recent joiners and we also did Townhall for all employees transitioning to ensure a consistent and welcoming experience. Additionally, there have been some changes in workplace culture since the Security Engineering Manager joined, including efforts to improve clarity, team performance and collaboration within the team. We recognize the importance of ongoing leadership development and are committed to continuously strengthening our people processes to better support and empower every team member. Thank you again for your feedback, it helps us grow.
