Pros

This is a very people focused organization. The employees here seem to suffer from almost compulsive niceness. A focus on employee health. The Glendale cafeteria is a mini wonder in terms of the quality and diversity of its offerings. IT operations and call center operations are strong though the call center suffers from creaky IT infrastructure.

Cons

From an IT perspective, operations is mature and works well. For example, they are migrating data processing centers with very few glitches. From a new or enhanced capability perspective, the organization struggles to manage moderately complex projects. There is too great a reliance on contractors, whose revenue focus detractfrom the organization's best interest. So those involved with delivering new IT capability may be more frustrated than other groups.

Pros

AAA brand loyalty is supported by all levels of employees.

Cons

Work environment is all about who likes you versus the level of work you do. Promotions are awarded based on favortism and not merit. Its about how you play the game and not how much you contribute.

Pros

A Strong brand, tenure-based culture and a strong respect for members & customers make CSAA a firm worth considering as a place to work.

Cons

Senior leadership is incompetent, petty, political and as a result, continues to re-organize every 8 months. If you are a rising star you are singled out for attack by political enemies. Teh constant re-org have everyone protecting their jobs vs. improving the operations and the customer experience. All solid work to improve customer service, increase profits or make the company easy to do business with are delayed by petty politics until all good people leave. Only the mediocre survive and the culture makes it hard to get anything done.
