Pros
The opportunity to have a personal impact on the business for which you work! This company is not so large that the good work of a single individual contributor would go unnoticed. If a single individual produces clearly recognizable value as a result of their efforts, it can and does get recognized. This, by the way, is a two way street. A single individual contributor that fails to deliver value is also quite visible. I regard this as a 'pro'
Cons
This is a company undergoing change. (Well that doesn't really say much does it, after all, what company isn't undergoing change? In my mind, the companies that aren't undergoing change are the ones that are failing to adapt and failing to adapt means you disappear). Undergoing change can be painful, or it can be invigorating. The objective facts will be the objective facts. How we each choose to react to them dictates, in large part whether they are a 'pro' or a 'con'. Clearly this isn't an absolute, but the attitude one takes makes a big difference. Go google 'attitude impact' and look at some of the results returned. The one con that I do have is that, historically, the company has been somewhat slow to recognize and take full benefit of some of the talent 'on the ground' so to speak.... not just what is referred to as the 'front line' but also 'in the trenches'. I have seen a very marked and recognizable change in that regard of late.
