Untenable situation for developers

High pay, great benefits, flexible work locations

Cons

Management hierarchy of programmers experience, expertise, incites, and suggestions worthless. Because all Management are developers they use their position to stomp on programmers for making suggestions or pointing out flaws. This leaves programmers completely unable to do their job and afraid to point out issues or suggest solutions.

Pros

Tremendous competitive position in the industry. Great new office, good place for someone at an entry level who wants a place to shine

Cons

Massive disconnect between leadership and front-line troops. CSC also tolerates longer-term management that have toxic styles and do nothing about it. The company does not handle anyone with experience from elsewhere that tries to bring in new ideas.

Pros

Work life balance Employees besides any leadership. Office furniture is great and the lighting does not give you headaches too often.

Cons

If you speak up about anything you become an enemy to the leadership. They do not value your opinion. They claim they have a path to move up but none exists. They just keep adding work and new tasks to your work load. Salary sucks.
