Your professional work ethic and career will waste away at Calyx. I work literally 30 minutes a day. I thought maybe my position was an outlier, but I soon realized that the majority of other employees barely worked too. It was nice at first. I thought I had hit the jackpot with such a cushy job, but then I realized that my actual talent and ability was eroding away. Most of the employees are quite talented and smart at Calyx. They've all realized they just have to look busy when the boss looks their way.

Management did not listen to recommendations and advice of experienced employees. Unreasonable expectations were places on employees. Inexperienced team members were put in charge of projects that were more suited to experienced team members, setting projects up to fail. There were no real opportunities for advancement and growth. There was a big disconnect between the Dallas office and the San Jose office, making both offices function almost autonomously, and causing division on projects and tasks that shouldn't have been the case. Some managers are put in positions they are not qualified for.
