We believe that working at Canvas is about more than just about the paycheck. Being known for our people means looking at the big picture and considering how we can add real value to the employment experience. We’ve been recognized as a Great Place to Work four years in a row and strive to create a work environment that incorporates fun and comradery while also helping our members live their best financial lives. Our generous benefits package includes 2% employee discounts on home and auto loans, which is money back in the pockets of our Canvas Family. We’re sorry to hear about dissatisfaction with your branch manager. We encourage current employees to reach out to the People Support team or call the Ethics Point Hotline if they are experiencing issues with their supervisor. We wish you the best in your future endeavors.

We’re so glad to hear you enjoyed working with the people around you during your time with us. Our unique company culture promotes a working environment where everyone feels welcome, valued, and like family. We understand compensation and pay are always changing, and we’re committed to offering competitive compensation and benefits for our Canvas Family. Throughout the past year, we’ve conducted numerous off-cycle compensation reviews and introduced a semiannual performance review process for our retail front line positions. We will continue to review market compensation data and regularly seek feedback and new benefit options for our CanFam. In 2021, there were 181 internal promotions at Canvas! We’ve recently re-introduced our Canvas Tours program which invites employees to tour other departments that interest them. Each person we hire goes through a competitive interview process with multiple interviewers, which contributes to our fair and consistent hiring process. All job postings are posted internally so employees who are interested can apply.

We’re proud to be recognized as a Great Place to Work for four years straight, and a big part of that is our leadership’s value of work-life balance. We want to give our people the freedom to live their best lives, and that involves being flexible. We’re happy to hear this was a part of your time with us. We understand there is some confusion around the five consecutive day off policy. Although it's a policy all credit unions, banks and financial institutions must comply with, we are sorry that this was not communicated well during your time with us.
