Thank you for your review and for serving the Canvas members! You are what makes Canvas and our culture great! We try to regularly ask our family members for feedback on just about everything related to the overall employee experience - this includes benefits and assessing the possibility of adding to what we currently offer. It truly is an ongoing discussion where we do our best to hear people and determine how we can help them live well(er). We will continue to evaluate these types of requests and appreciate you letting us know how you feel about working at Canvas! The Canvas Team

Pros

Strong culture, transparent decision making, great leadership, opportunities for professional growth, healthy work-life balance, excellent benefits, community-oriented.

Cons

I can honestly say this is the best company I've ever worked for, and while it's not always perfect, there's nowhere else I'd rather be. I hope to spend many more years here.

Thank you for your review! We admittedly are not perfect – however, providing a fun and unique company culture, room for career advancement, comprehensive benefits, and full transparency to all Canvas family members is our aim as a credit union. In addition to caring for those that work at Canvas and our beloved Canvas members, we do indeed care about the communities where we live, serve, and where are our branches are located. In 2019, our 620 family members logged 3,704 volunteer hours (in 2020, it was 3,324 hours with limited openings at non-profits). Thank you for serving our Colorado members, we hope you are here for years to come! Never hesitate to let us know how we can be better. The Canvas Team

Hello and thank you for your review. While we respect your opinion, we also strongly believe at Canvas we are known for our people and we care deeply about each one of our employees’ health and well-being. To that end, we offer comprehensive benefits with medical coverage inclusive of a wellness incentive through which Canvas awards additional employer Health Savings Accounts contributions or premium discounts for plan participants. Included in our benefits package is generous personal time off, access to a 0% interest employee assistance loan, 401(k) savings plan with company match (after 1 year of employment Canvas contributes 7% of your eligible earnings each pay period into the plan before any contribution you choose to make), and employee discounts on home and auto loans by way of interest rate reductions (for homes, this is a 2% rate reduction!). In response to COVID-19, Canvas acted swiftly and boldly in committing to no layoffs or furloughs; not only was this accomplished, last year there were 91 internal promotions here at Canvas (today we employ 620 family members in our branches and home office). In the early days before shelter-in-place orders, we implemented an additional three days of sick leave to support those who might be ill. We also added our 2020 Helping Hands pay – if a family member had a dependent that they needed to care for, they were able to access 14 business days of paid time off. 2020 was a tough year for everyone. We look forward to a better 2021 where we can continue to demonstrate as a credit union that we care about our members, the communities we serve, and those that work at Canvas who go the extra mile for our members.
