Pros

Excellent pay; Great people to work with.

Cons

There was not enough work at the level I was at, and the job tended to be frustrating, as a result.

Thank you for your review. We know compensation and colleagues are incredibly important, and we’re glad you feel fulfilled with us there, but we also want everyone to be fulfilled by the work they’re doing. CapTech is in growth mode with new clients and projects in our sports tech vertical as well as many industries, current and new. I’d encourage you to sit down with your coach and talk through your interests so they can work to align you with projects that meet your passions and help you grow professionally. You are also always welcome to chat with me directly so I can help you navigate your path. -Katy Apostolides, Managing Director - HR

PTO is not PTO.

Pros

Great opportunities to get involved with different types of projects and clients Great place to learn some skills for the next stage in your career.

Cons

Seems like most of the talent I've worked with is below their stated skill level. The "PTO" is more of a reason for them not to pay out bonus. They recently made a change to the bonus structure that causes you to lose out on the tiered bonus level if you take any time off. Oh and if you get sick, that's counted as your PTO so that will affect your bonus as well. It incentivizes people to not take vacation which is going to increase the attrition rate. Since they've switched to a bi-annual bonus structure, expect to see an exodus of talent come September after bonuses are paid. The tech market is too competitive to penalize an employee for taking time off. Not a place you'll want to spend long term.

Thank you for taking time to share your thoughts with us. As you mentioned, we are a company that takes pride in our culture of work life balance, so we want all employees to feel that they can enjoy our benefits while delivering great client work. The implementation of the bi-annual bonus was a result of our people sharing they preferred that structure, and that they placed more value on the base pay vs bonus payout. As a result, we have focused more on base compensation, and also love the increased opportunity to reward and recognize our people. If you’d like to talk about this further, I’d encourage you to contact me directly so I can learn more about your experience. -Katy Apostolides, Managing Director - HR

Thank you for taking a moment to leave your review. We’re happy you noted the work-life balance as that’s an area we take pride in for our people. To further support our employees in their work and personal life, we rolled out brand new benefits in 2022 such as Modern Health, Carrot Fertility, and Fringe to accompany our traditional suite of benefits (Health/Dental/401k/PTO). Our compensation team is constantly evaluating our salary bands to make sure we’re offering a competitive package for new and tenured employees. I’m always happy to discuss your thoughts if you’d like to reach out directly. -Katy Apostolides, Managing Director - HR
