Pros
Very profitable core business supports solid benefits, facilities, salaries and bonuses. Pockets of old investment group culture continue to exist. Good work life balance, almost impossible to get fired
Cons
Lots of cash flow but no organic growth for nearly a decade. No viable growth engine on the horizon. Current major shareholders and new leaders demonstrate greed, selfishness, hubris and contempt for the rank-and-file. They are mostly interested in protecting their fat dividends. The old CG spirit of stewardship, humility, integrity and respect for all roles and individuals is all but gone. Support functions like IT, HR, Finance have always been mediocre at CG, but now core functions like service and sales are also mismanaged and not delivering. In the last five years, this rot has spread to the investment group, which was the last bastion standing - and has begun showing up in investment results.
