A sprawling middle to upper-middle management system with considerable redundancy. A middle management culture of bullying, harassment, blame and favoritism accepted and tolerated. Confidentiality a foreign and entirely misunderstood concept on the part of much of management and HR. Administration can at times value buzz words and concepts (such as an integrated EMR ~ Epic) above good old-fashioned vigilant care. Performance goals for management focused on production and through-put, and sometimes at odds with improvement in outcomes.

The pay is subpar. Scheduling is erratic. If you want to gain next level RN you have to do all the work (CAP) on your own time. Expensive health insurance.
